Well Child Checks

Your child is growing and changing frequently, and Well Child Checks are essential during this time. At each check-up your child‘s height and weight will to be entered into a growth chart. During your checkup is when most immunizations would be administered if needed. As your child starts to get older, they will offer vision screening as well as apply a topical fluoride to their teeth. Your provider team can address any concerns that you may have in regard to your child’s health.

Reading aloud stimulates language development even before a child can talk. Northwest CHC promotes reading by providing your child with FREE books at their routine Well Child Checks.

Through partnership with the national Reach out and Read Program and Hopa Mountain’s StoryMakers Program, Northwest Community Health Center promotes early literacy and school readiness with its pediatric patients by giving age appropriate, new books to children as well as advice to parents about the importance of reading aloud.
